Took delivery of my new BX 2200 Last Thursday. Man can this thing mow. I went from 2 1/2 hours to just under 1 hour. I also to the FEL. Already loaded the PU with a load now need to find where to haul it to. Everyone on this board was very helpful while I was deciding which tractor to buy.

Congratulations! You'll now find lots of chores just to put the FEL to use. ....

So tell me, how do you like your front end loader? I too recently bought a BX2200 w/60" deck and really love it and have been thinking about getting the loader.
Tell me what you have done with it and how it handles please.
Thanks,
B.W. ....

The loader is very useful. I have removed bushes and landscaping rock and loaded into my Pickup. I use it to haul my chipper around the yard. I used it to haul my swimming pool filter in for the winter and put it in rafters of the garage. Also, when I needed to work on the chipper I strapped it to the bucket and raised it up so I could work on without laying on the ground. And when my wife pulled all the weeds and vines from her small garden I just raked them into the bucket and hauled them to the compost pile. All this and only have 6 hours on it. I think it is great and was the only reason I went with the BX and not the smaller Garden Tractor with a 60" deck. ....

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like it really does the job. I am very interested in getting this acc. and will probably start sticking my nickels away. My dealer told me that it would cost around 2800.00 complete. Does this sound like a fair price?

I did buy a 48" box blade which seems to work well. Could stand a little more weight on the front end.

I mow approx. 4+ acres and it has really cut down my mowing time.

Thanks again for the info!

For wheel barrel type work consider a 3pt trip bucket. I've used this on my BX and I can pack it pretty full of sand before the front end gets light. For about $200 you can't beat it unless you need to load materials higher than the 3pt arms can lift. It works fine for gravel, dirt, sand, bushes etc. I've even used it to load & unload dirt from my trailer. I just park the trailer in low spot & back right onto the trailer. ....
